The Automobile Cinema
Contemporary inventions, cars and movies are related since their inception. The car is very fast for film, a source of creativity: the chase races fascinate and accidents involving laughter, as the stage is rotated so burlesque. The car is also often used in the Laurel and Hardy comedies, including one of their first short film, entitled The Garage. It is a series of comic scenes only related to cars. The Model T is especially used in their films. The automobile is a "tremendous" accessory for film, used in romantic scenes where two lovers kiss in the action scenes to carry the dead mafia etc. Much later, the car will become even as lead actress in The Love Bug or Christine.
