Learning to drive

Learning to drive

Since its inception, the car has a problem of cohabitation with other users of the streets and roads. Also from the late nineteenth century, security officials have begun to regulate its usage first by license, then the rules of the road, appeared in France in 1921. Today, a license is required in almost every country in the world, but its getting and learning the general conduct may take many different forms. A minimum age is required, often the majority, so between 16 and 21 years old to drive a car alone. Learning is generally done in a driving school, but it is in France legally possible to learn to drive without going through such bodies. Statistics road safety have shown the preponderance of young drivers among road accident victims, specific measures for the first year after licensure are taken in many countries: visible identification of young drivers (A in France L in Germany, Switzerland, UK, ...), speed limits lowered for them, or limiting the power to weight ratio of the vehicle (for Italy).
