Future Growth
Thanks to the open market "boom" (China and South America), auto sales rose 4% in 2007 to reach a global market of 900 million unités. Experts believe that the billion cars will be taken before the end of the year 2010. In addition, since the lifetime of vehicles is 10 years on average, in highly motorized countries, the fleet renewal is slow and progressif.
Nevertheless, several automotive markets are in trouble. The U.S. market is indeed the most affected by the crisis, showing a sharp decline in sales. "Change of circumstances économique" in the United States, namely the decline in wages, lack of jobs, rising house prices and oil is falling nearly 15 million units sales of 2008 cars on the year. The French market also knows a major crisis in early 2010, with a fall in sales of more than 20% on the first quarter alone the year 2012.
